This bronze falcon sculpture is cast from an original wood carving by Bill.   This sculpture won the Art Award at the 2011 Festival of Falconry held in Abu Dhabi. It was selected from an international entry of top wildlife artists.

To produce the original for this sculpture, I spent a day at a friends falconry centre. I sat poised with my camera, waiting for the bird to adopt the position I knew I wanted to carve.  After sourcing a large piece of lime wood that had fallen at a nearby farm, and over two months of carving; this sculpture, seen here in the bronze, is the result.
