“Mobius T Clef III” is my recent interpretation of the fusing of two forms that I have always been drawn to: the treble clef and the Mobius strip. I have a fond memory from my school music lessons, when we had to repeatedly draw the treble clef. I loved the elegance of its flowing curves. Another early memory is of my grandfather demonstrating the properties of a Möbius strip using a simple loop of paper with a single half-twist. When he cut it lengthways, the loop didn’t— as I expected— fall apart into two separate loops, but instead became one larger loop.

Because Möbius strips are sometimes called “infinity loops,” I like to think that my Mobius T Clef also represents the infinite variety achievable in music, from the finite number of notes available
