NEWS: October 2011 . Royal Society of Marine Artists Annual Exhibition. Bill's new marine sculptures "J-Class 1" and "Twenty Knots and More" were selected for the Royal Society of Marine Artists Annual Exhibition held at the Mall Galleries, London, October 12 - 23 October 2011. This is a prestigious exhibition held at the home gallery of the Federation of British Artists. (Please note both these sculptures are now sold.) The Third International Falconry Festival Also this month, Bill's bronze "Preening Peregrine" has been selected as a finalist in the sculpture category at the third International Falconry Festiveal. It was chosen from an internation field of artists and all the selected pieces will be at exhibited at the at the Festival in Abu Dhabi in December 2011. Bill Prickett is known for his beautiful sculpture in wood and bronze. Bill also writes about carving for several publications and teaches from his studio in Kent, UK. Bill Prickett is a well known wildlife artist. His carvings and bronzes of wildlife, particularly his Birds of Prey have brought particular acclaim. Bill's falcons and hawks on gloves are always popular. Click "Birds of Prey" above to see his current collection of falcons (peregrine, saker and kestrel currently) and hawks. Bill also works with laminated plywood, which is a strong and beautiful material and if treated correctly can be happily placed outside.
